Nestled between the mountain slopes, the Tsuzura Rice Terraces cover an area of 7 hectares and are made from 300 slabs of stone. Also, stop at Ya-Ho Plaza, an observation deck where you can look out over the beautiful terraced fields. If you shout "Ya-ho!", you will hear an echo. Visit at Hirakawa Family Residence: A farmhouse with a uniquely shaped roof built around 300 years ago. It is designated as a National Important Cultural Property. (Including time for transportation from/to this spot)
Take a short break near Kominka Shimebaru: This is a 150-year-old house with beautiful earth walls and cedar-thatched roofs. It is also used as an accommodation facility. (Including time for transportation from/to this spot)
Pass a restaurant located in Ukiha city near the prefectural border and visit Yunoki Oimatsu Shrine: The shrine is located just over the prefectural border in Hita City, Oita Prefecture.
