About Toulouse

Toulouse is the Pink City of south-west France, built of rose-red brick, with a great Romanesque basilica, a canal and a long aerospace history.

Toulouse earns its nickname, la ville rose, from the warm brick of its buildings, which glows in the evening light along the Garonne. The Basilica of Saint-Sernin, a Romanesque church begun in the eleventh century and a stage on the pilgrim road to Santiago, is one of the largest surviving Romanesque churches in Europe.
