About Anaheim & Buena Park

Anaheim and Buena Park, in Orange County, are the theme-park heart of southern California, with Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm and a historic old town.

Anaheim began in 1857 as a wine colony founded by German settlers on the Santa Ana River, and its vineyards later gave way to citrus groves. Disneyland Park, opened in 1955, changed all that, and the city is now defined by the resort around it, with Disney California Adventure beside it.
