During your tour you will see some beautiful Scottish scenery. Our first stop of the day is Clava Cairns followed by Culloden Battlefield. You may wish to walk the battlefield for free or choose to pay entry into the visitor centre. We will visit Urquhart Castle which is located on the shore of Loch Ness. Our final stop of the day is Beauly Priory with is one of three priories founded in Scotland in about 1230 for monks of the Valliscaulian order. We will stop along the way for lunch, the location can be agreed on the day. You will be picked up and dropped off at Invergordon cruise port. As this is a private tour you will have flexibility to amend the tour within reason, please note this is required to be done in advance of your tour date. Time permitting we may also manage to fit in a tasting at The Singleton or Glen Ord Distillery on request. As this tour is a Private Shore Excursion the start time will be amended in accordance with the arrival time of your ship.

The Battle of Culloden was the final confrontation of the Jacobite rising of 1745-46. The price to enter the visitor centre is £14 per person (correct at time of publishing). Please note it take approx. 15 minutes to get here from Clava Cairns.

About Invergordon

Invergordon is a small port on the Cromarty Firth in the Scottish Highlands, with wall murals, nearby distilleries and a deep-water harbour.

Invergordon stands on the northern shore of the Cromarty Firth, a large sheltered natural harbour, in the Highland area of Easter Ross. It was a Royal Navy base in both world wars, and its deep-water port still receives large ships. The town's walls are covered with murals showing local history, and a museum recalls the naval years, including the 1931 mutiny of sailors over pay.
