行程
We’ll start the hike in the centuries-old white mountain village. It’s known as the “balcony of the Axarquía” because of its breathtaking, panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea, the surrounding mountains, and Lake La Viñuela.
Along the way, we hike past steep cliffs and rock faces with panoramic views of the white mountain village of Sedella and the region’s highest peak, La Maroma (2,069 m). We enjoy the local flora and fauna, including wild mountain goats, olive, lemon, and orange trees, as well as wild herbs such as mint and rosemary
After a 3.5-km walk, we arrive at an idyllic spot surrounded by nature. There, we see the Almanchares River with several waterfalls and lagoons where you can swim in the clear water. We take a break for a picnic with Spanish tapas.
After the picnic, we’ll visit one of Spain’s largest suspension bridges: El Saltillo, which is 50 meters long and 70 meters high. This bridge spans the Almanchares River canyon. It was built in 2020 as part of the GR hiking trail that connects two mountain villages: Canillas de Aceituno and Sedella.
Golden Hour After visiting the bridge, we walk back to the starting point of the hike in Canillas de Aceituno. This is the golden hour. The sun slowly disappears behind the mountain peaks, and we enjoy picturesque landscapes bathed in beautiful colors.

About Malaga
Málaga is a sunny Andalusian port on the Costa del Sol, the birthplace of Picasso, with a Moorish fortress, city beaches and a thriving museum scene.
The Alcazaba, a Moorish fortress-palace, climbs the hill above the old town, with Gibralfaro Castle higher still and views over the port and bay. At its foot lie the Roman Theatre and the cathedral, nicknamed La Manquita, the one-armed lady, because its second tower was never finished.
Top-ranked sights in Malaga: Malaga Alcazaba, Malaga Cathedral (Cathedral de la Encarnación), Constitution Square (Plaza de la Constitucion).
