Seal Bay Conservation Park is one of Kangaroo Island’s most iconic wildlife destinations and home to a thriving colony of endangered Australian sea lions. Visitors can walk along the beach with experienced guides and observe these remarkable animals resting, nursing pups, and playing in their natural habitat.
Vivonne Bay is a stunning stretch of coastline on Kangaroo Island, renowned for its crystal-clear waters, pristine white sand, and peaceful natural beauty. Once named one of Australia’s best beaches, it offers excellent opportunities for beach walks.
Flinders Chase Visitor Centre is the gateway to the iconic Flinders Chase National Park. Located near the park entrance, the centre provides visitor information, maps, interpretive displays, souvenirs, refreshments, and insights into the park’s unique wildlife and geology.
Remarkable Rocks is one of Kangaroo Island’s most famous natural landmarks, featuring spectacular granite boulders sculpted by wind, rain, and ocean spray over more than 500 million years. Perched dramatically on a coastal granite dome within Flinders Chase National Park, the rocks display unique shapes, vibrant orange lichen, and breathtaking views of the Southern Ocean.
Admirals Arch is a spectacular natural rock arch carved by the powerful Southern Ocean over thousands of years. The arch frames stunning coastal views and provides access to one of Kangaroo Island’s largest colonies of long-nosed fur seals.
Snelling Beach is a peaceful and scenic stretch of coastline on the north coast of Kangaroo Island, known for its long golden sand, clear blue waters, and rolling dunes. This area is also a great spot to see native wildlife including koalas resting in eucalyptus trees and wild kangaroos grazing nearby.
Reeves Point is a historic and scenic coastal area in Kingscote on Kangaroo Island, known as the site of the first official European settlement in South Australia in 1836. One of its highlights is the chance to see wild pelicans up close. The shallow waters and shoreline around Reeves Point often attract large groups of pelicans, especially during feeding time, making it a great place for wildlife photography and relaxed coastal viewing.

About Kangaroo Island
Kangaroo Island lies off South Australia, a rugged island of sea lions, koalas, granite coastline and empty beaches reached by ferry or a short flight.
Kangaroo Island is the third-largest island in Australia, lying across Backstairs Passage from the Fleurieu Peninsula south of Adelaide. A ferry crosses from Cape Jervis to Penneshaw, and Kingscote, the island's largest town, has an airport and a small harbour where little penguins come ashore at dusk. Much of the island is bushland and farmland, with few towns and long stretches of quiet coast.
