Diving in Cenotes: discovering the Mayan Underworld

Cenotes are only found in this part of the world, and this is due to the fact that the meteorite that killed the dinosaurs 65 million years ago impacted the Yucatan Peninsula, giving rise to the formation of underground rivers with totally crystal clear water. If you arrive by car, there is a Six at the entrance, and a sign that says "Ki Restaurant." In the parking lot is the palapa with a sign "Scuba Public School."
