The Black Colosseum of Catania and its mysteries
An ancient lava cave, reused in Greek times as a cistern and then as a catacomb by the Romans. According to tradition, it was the place of the first deposition of Saint Agatha.
One of Catania's baroque jewels and its underground crypt
Amenano, mysterious underground springs flowing beneath the historic center of Catania. Over the centuries, eruptions, earthquakes and wars changed not only the urban grid of the city, but also its natural appearance. We will visit an evocative lava cave inside which a branch of the water still flows
