About Kuta

Kuta is Bali's original beach town, a lively stretch of surf, sunsets, shopping and nightlife just a short ride from the island's airport.

Kuta Beach runs north in a long arc of sand toward Legian and Seminyak, with steady waves that have made it a classic place to learn to surf. In the evening, crowds gather on the sand to watch the sun sink into the Indian Ocean, and the beachfront promenade is lined with cafés and stalls.

Top-ranked sights in Kuta: Kuta Beach (Pantai Kuta), Upside Down World.
