亮点

Start your trip to the last forbidden kingdom of Nepal untouched by 21st-century modernization. Centuries-old rituals and cultural practices make the area an important place for a cultural excursion. Upper Mustang Trekking is also termed as the journey beyond mountains. Info Trekking Nepal has knitted the best itinerary to explore the walled city of Lomanthang and to walk through the world’s deepest gorge the Kaligandaki gorge. The trip will not only confine trekkers on socio-cultural attractions rather it renders prototypical Himalayan traditions so close to Tibetan culture. If your trekking holiday falls within the Tiji Festival then it would be even more blissful. The festival is considered the biggest celebration in the area.

About Kathmandu

Kathmandu is Nepal's ancient, colourful capital, a valley city of temples, stupas and royal squares and the gateway to the Himalaya.

Kathmandu Durbar Square, the old royal square, is crowded with pagoda-roofed temples and palaces, and nearby lives the Kumari, the city's living child goddess. Thamel, the travellers' quarter, is a tangle of lanes selling trekking gear, prayer flags and handicrafts, busy with cafés and rooftop restaurants.

Top-ranked sights in Kathmandu: Namche Bazaar, Pashupatinath, Kathmandu Durbar Square (Basantapur).
