亮点

I’m Steph — bird-influencer and host of That Quirky Bird Girl, where I share the joy, curiosity, and life lessons that come from connecting with birds. My goal is simple: help people slow down, look up, and discover that nature is all around us, even in the heart of NYC. Together, we’ll search for incredible birds like Sparrows, Blue Jays, Cardinals, Robins, and more. This stroll is perfect for beginners and bird lovers alike. We’ll learn what to look and listen for, get comfortable using binoculars, and uncover fun bird stories. Every season brings something new, with nearly 200 species passing through NYC. Winter brings ducks and resident birds, spring and fall bring colorful migrants, and summer highlights nesting birds raising the next generation. No two tours are the same, so come back in another season to experience a whole new side of Prospect Park’s feathered world. Leave with more curiosity, connection, and appreciation for the amazing nature happening all around us.

行程

We’ll begin our adventure near the Prospect Park Ice Skating Rink where we can overlook the iconic Herons and Ducks that live nearby. This meeting spot sets the perfect tone for our journey into the world of birds and nature. At the start of the tour, you’ll get a brief overview of what to expect, including the birds we’re most likely to encounter and the key landmarks we’ll pass along the way. Please arrive on time, as I allow a 10-minute grace period before we begin our walk. During this time, I’ll go over important details to help you make the most of the tour, from how to spot birds to fun facts about the park’s history and seasonal changes. Once we’re ready, we’ll embark on our one-hour-and-fifty-minute stroll, discovering the hidden gems of Prospect Park while learning how to connect with nature in a whole new way!

About Brooklyn

Brooklyn is New York City's most populous borough, a patchwork of brownstone streets, waterfront parks, boardwalk beaches and food markets.

Brooklyn lies across the East River from Manhattan, on the western tip of Long Island, and was a separate city until it joined New York in 1898. The Brooklyn Bridge, finished in 1883 with Gothic arches in its stone towers, has a walkway above the traffic with views of the skyline. Brownstone houses line the tree-shaded streets of Brooklyn Heights, whose promenade looks over the harbour to Lower Manhattan.

Top-ranked sights in Brooklyn: Dumbo, Williamsburg, Brooklyn Bridge Park.
