行程
The Vatican Museums, the most important museum complex in the world, are located in Rome. They exhibit works from the immense collection built by the Roman Catholic Church over the centuries.
The frescoes that we contemplate here introduce us to the world of the contents of Revelation. The truths of our faith speak to us here from all sides. From them the human genius drew his inspiration by committing himself to dress them with forms of unparalleled beauty. The Sistine Chapel owes its name to its client, Pope Sixtus IV della Rovere (1471-1484), who wanted to build a new large room on the site where the "Magna Chapel" already stood, a fortified hall from the Middle Ages, intended to house the meetings of the papal court.

About Rome
Rome layers nearly three thousand years of history into one walkable city, from the Colosseum and Forum to Baroque piazzas and Vatican art.
Ancient Rome is still in plain sight. The Colosseum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine Hill sit together at the city's heart, the Pantheon still stands with its open oculus, and fragments of temples and aqueducts turn up between apartment blocks. Across the Tiber, Vatican City holds St Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museums and Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel ceiling.
Top-ranked sights in Rome: Colosseum, Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel.
