The Benagil caves are something that should be checked off everyone's bucket list. Unfortunately, people think there is only a beautiful cave in Benagil, the most famous one which is Algar de Benagil, the one with the hole in the middle top. We will show you many more, some with hidden and secret beaches, some magical places, only accessible by the sea. Tunnels, arches, caves and cliffs are also included in the tour. Our instructors are all certified, truly ocean lovers and they will guide you through all the way.

We had the best morning out with Marcio’s guide, Viktor. They were attentive to getting our family of five set up on the water and brought us on the most enjoyable tour, customized to our sense of adventure and fun.
5Incredible sup tour of the Benagil Caves
Incredible tour of the caves and coastline near the Benagil caves. Márcio was an amazing guide, full of local info while we paddled. The tour started from a private beach, away from all the crowds. His safety brief was spot on and the equipment was excellent. I had the best time going into the numerous caves spotting nature and listening to the roar of the waves against the rocks and shoreline. I can’t wait to return and do it again. Thanks Márcio!!

One of the best parts of our honeymoon in the Algarve! Kayak & SUP Benagil took such good care of us, showing us this beautiful area and ensuring we comply with the rules (new as of 2024) that ensure everyone gets to see this magnificent cave. Really appreciated their ability to communicate in all languages, the professionalism of their guides and the excellent gear (Solid paddleboards were awesome to try!) PLUS they made sure to get lots of photos so we could focus on navigating the busy area, as we visited in high season. Many thanks to Katarina and Fabio. Can't recommend enough!!
5Stunning tours- just perfection !
We had an incredible experience! Marcio and his team were so patient and kind and gave us a wonderful tour. They took us to a less crowded area so we could enjoy a calm and stunning tour. They took great photos and videos as well. Am upstanding experience- 10 Stars!!!
5Best way to see these beautiful caves
This was the highlight of our trip to Algarve. The caves were magical and our guide Favio was very patient and helpful. We were late arriving and they were very gracious about it and waited and gave us the full tour. We had never done paddle boards in the ocean but it was very enjoyable. I’m so glad we got to experience the caves this way. Highly recommend!

About Lagoa
Lagoa is a municipality on Portugal's Algarve coast, with golden sea cliffs, sea caves such as Benagil, small fishing coves and vineyards.
Lagoa lies east of Portimão and south of Silves in the central Algarve, with a town of whitewashed houses a short way inland and a coast of golden limestone cliffs. The coast holds some of the Algarve's best-known scenery: Benagil Cave, a sea cave with a round opening in its roof, can be seen by boat or kayak, and Praia da Marinha is a beach in a cove below rock arches and stacks.
