You can learn about Washoku from Yuki who is an experienced decorative sushi roll instructor. She has appeared on TV many times because she is popular. In 2024, Portland, Oregon, USA and Sapporo Hokkaido celebrated the 65th anniversary of their sister city partnership. The welcoming celebration was held at a hotel in Sapporo, where she demonstrated and served Decorative sushi rolls to the mayors of both cities. We welcome international guests to our Sushi Roll Preparation School in Sapporo. At our hands-on workshop you will learn how to cook decorative sushi rolls. When you return to your home country why not impress your friends? We promise that your visit to our workshop will be one of the best memories of your trip to Japan. 5Excellent Sushi making experience.
Yuki san was very responsible- contacted me a few days earlier and giving me all the details on how to get to her place sincewe were voting Sapporo for the first time. She gave me the detailed instruction on what to tell the cab driver. When we reached her place, she was totally ready for us. Extremely professional, she patiently worked with us on how to make sushi rolls. What was amazing was her preparedness even having the exact amount of sticky rice ready for the sushis. Overall it was a great experience and I would highly recommend for visitors in Sapporo to out this experience in your plans.

5Great experience, it tastes good too!
It was really cool learning to make sushi with such a cute design. We made the flower decoration. Yui san was with us step by step and it took about an half an hour to make. She gave us drink, we took pictures of the process and end. My friend and I had a good time and I am going to try to make the rolls on my own.

5Making sushi with family.
My family did the 2 hour sushi class with Yuki. We all really enjoyed the class. Yuki was so friendly and welcoming. She picked us up from the station and drove us to her home for the class. We were very impressed with the sushi we made, it looked beautiful and tasted great! Thank you Yuki!

5Amazing class!
We really enjoyed Yuki's sushi class. She kindly picked us up from the train station. She was kind, patient teaching my daughter how to make sushi. I'd recommend this class to anyone wishing to learn how to make artistic sushi.

5Yuki is the best!
Yuki is amazing! She is extremely patient with our poor sushi making skills and examined every step extremely well while examining the process and why it's made that way. Our conversations while making the sushi were a lot of fun and we even met her house panther, er, wonderful cat.

About Sapporo
