  Sean was a phenomenal tour guide. He was timely, very knowledgeable about both sides of the island, prepared with cold beverages for us (and we needed them), and customized our tour to fit our group. Our group ranged from 17 to 75, and everyone had a great time. You will not regret booking a tour with him. Just remember to pack your water shoes and a bathing suit.

• 3Pelican Tours

  We were excited and scheduled for a tour with pelican tour as this was our first time in St. Maarten. Sadly , our tour guide came at 8:45AM though the time on the viator ticket said 8:00AM. I messaged in the viator app and there was (no call or text ) from pelican tours as to why they were delayed. The tour guide Neirland, was okay not very engaging but she was kind. We appreciate her hard work but would have appreciated better communication and more excitement as this was our first time here. Also in future please drop tourists off at a shopping area that is open not closed. We were dropped off at 9 AM at a shopping area that had 80% of shops closed.

About Philipsburg

Philipsburg, capital of Dutch Sint Maarten, is a narrow town between a long sandy bay and a salt pond, with a beachfront street of shops.

Philipsburg stands on a narrow strip of land between Great Bay and the Great Salt Pond, on the Dutch side of the island of Saint Martin, which is shared with France. It was founded in 1763 and named after John Philips, a Scottish captain in Dutch service. Front Street runs along the bay, lined with shops, cafés and old wooden houses, and a boardwalk follows the sand. Wathey Square, with its courthouse of 1793, is the heart of the town.
