1. Theth National Park (Parku Kombëtar i Thethit) is a jewel nestled in the northern Albanian Alps. It was first established in 1966, covering about 2,630 ha around the Shala Valley, and in 2017 the village of Theth was designated a Protected Historic Centre. The park was later merged into the larger Alps of Albania National Park in 2022 .

About Shkodër

Shkodër is a lakeside city in northern Albania, watched over by the ruins of Rozafa Castle and backed by the Albanian Alps.

Shkodër lies at the southern end of Lake Shkodër, the largest lake in the Balkans, where the Buna river leaves it for the Adriatic. Rozafa Castle crowns a rocky hill above the town, with views over the water and the plain, and an old legend of a woman walled into its foundations so that the stones would hold. In town, the Marubi museum keeps nineteenth and twentieth-century photographs, and Kolë Idromeno street is a pedestrian promenade lined with cafés.
