The half-day trip on the Rogue River through Hellgate Canyon is our most scenic half-day trip. The forbidding walls of Hellgate Canyon rise out of the water at the rivers edge marking a dramatic point of transition into the whitewater downstream. As we float through the canyon osprey and eagles fly over head as the search the river for fish. This trip flows through two distinct gorges and concludes with two of the best class II rapids on the day section of the Rogue River. This is a great trip anyone wanting to learn to inflatable kayak or any family with younger kids wanting to raft.

5Fun day on the Rogue River
Fun day on the river with guide Gus. It was just my husband and me so it was pretty much a private trip. Beautiful scenery, both float and enough rapids to keep it interesting. Gus was great, very knowledgeable about the Rogue valley, the river itself, etc. A great experience, glad we booked it before they ended their season.
5Hells Gate Half Day was a beautiful
This hells gate AM half day trip is a great trip for family and first timers. Weather and water were amazing. Guide was great!
5Heaven on earth!
From the moment we arrived everyone was so welcoming, helpful and fun! They went through the safety protocols, took very good care of my mom who was with me. We swam in the river, Blake guided us well. Joe shared history, it was great! We saw a group of heron, a deer at the water and variety of birds. The trip was perfect in every way!
5Great Ride!
Drake was great! We appreciate what a great guide he was for us! He gave us the experience we were looking for by keeping us safe while still hitting each rapid we wanted to cause a thrill. He was kind and friendly too with all the great stories of the canyon and sights! We will be back next year!
5Great guide/great trip
Even though it was smoky from wildfires, we had a great time. Steve did a fantastic job with the four of us inexperienced kayakers.
5Beautiful trip down the river with Tom and Drake.
We had a fantastic trip down the river this morning! Tom was a great guide. He taught us all we needed to know to help paddle and stay safe. He also shared a lot of info about the area as we made our way down the river. Drake was on a training trip with us and he was super friendly too. It was a fabulous experience and we were sad when it was done.

About Ashland
Ashland is a southern Oregon town in the Siskiyou foothills, best known for its Shakespeare festival, shady Lithia Park and nearby wine country.
Ashland lies at the south end of the Rogue Valley in southern Oregon, near the California border, with the Siskiyou Mountains rising behind it. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, begun in 1935, draws theatre-goers with plays staged in three theatres, one of them an outdoor Elizabethan stage. Lithia Park, laid out in 1914, runs up a wooded creek canyon from the central plaza.
