Visiting Grožnjan, Croatia, is a delightful experience for art lovers and those seeking a charming, off-the-beaten-path destination. Known as the "Artist Village," Grožnjan's narrow, cobblestone streets are lined with vibrant art galleries, studios, and shops, creating a lively and creative atmosphere. We recommend to plan lunch in famous restaurant that offers beautiful views of the surrounding Istrian countryside, allowing you to taste truffles while taking in the stunning scenery. If you don't want to stop in Grožnjan, we also recommend these interesting places along the way to choose from as your 2 hour stop: Motovun Poreč Rovinj

About Trieste
Trieste is an Adriatic port on Italy's border with Slovenia, a city of Habsburg-era palaces, old coffeehouses and a great square that opens onto the sea.
Trieste was the Roman town of Tergeste and became the main seaport of the Habsburg empire after it was declared a free port in 1719. Its grand centre dates from that period: Piazza Unità d'Italia, a vast square of palaces with one side open to the water, the Canal Grande, a short canal lined with cafés and a church, and the grid of the Borgo Teresiano. Above the old town, the cathedral of San Giusto and a castle crown a hill, with a Roman theatre below.
Top-ranked sights in Trieste: Piazza Unità d'Italia (Piazza Grande), Miramare Castle (Castello di Miramare).
