1. The Cromeleque of the Almendres is a reflection of gigantic proportions of the age of pagan enchantment, known like New Age of the Stone. Built towards sunrise and sunset, this megalithic enclosure is located on a gentle slope on the property of Almendres. A place that could very well represent the Alentejo. Formed by two distinct enclosures, built between the end of the sixth and third millennium BC, this cromlech is one of the largest and most important megalithic monuments in the world. It is much older than the famous Stonehenge.

The human bones and skulls carefully scattered and connected with cement cover the walls of the Bones Chapel and its eight pillars.

4. This Roman temple in Evora is one of the largest and best preserved Roman temples in the Iberian Peninsula. That's why it was considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986. This is the ex-libris of the city, a kind of business card. And, of course, the most important representative of the Romans remains in Evora.
