  1. Our starting point next to the tourism office.

    20 min

  2. Stand on the sands where history was made and gain a profound understanding of the pivotal events that unfolded at Omaha Beach. On June 6, 1944, this iconic stretch of coastline became the battleground for one of the most consequential military operations in history: the D-Day invasion. As part of Operation Overlord, American troops stormed ashore under a hail of enemy fire, facing daunting obstacles and heavy casualties. Yet, their unwavering resolve and extraordinary bravery paved the way for the liberation of Europe. Today, Omaha Beach stands as a hallowed ground, a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by thousands of Allied soldiers who fought and died here. With its pristine sands and serene waters juxtaposed against the haunting remnants of war, Omaha Beach offers visitors a solemn opportunity to reflect on the price of freedom and the enduring legacy of those who gave their all for it.

  3. Perched atop the cliffs of Colleville-sur-Mer overlooking Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery stands as a solemn tribute to the courage and sacrifice of over 9,000 Allied soldiers who gave their lives during the Normandy Campaign of World War II. Established in 1944, this meticulously maintained cemetery provides a poignant reminder of the price of freedom. Its rows of white marble crosses and Stars of David offer a sobering sight, while the Memorial, inscribed with the names of over 1,500 missing soldiers, serves as a timeless symbol of honor and remembrance. Visiting this sacred ground is not only an opportunity to pay respects to the fallen but also to reflect on the profound impact of their bravery and commitment to liberty.

Nestled in the heart of Normandy, this historic cidrerie offers more than just delightful beverages; it's a portal to the past. Founded in the 16th century, this cidrerie has stood witness to the region's rich history, including the tales of Château de la Percée, a nearby castle that once hosted noble gatherings. Today, as you sample their exquisite ciders crafted from locally grown apples, you're tasting the essence of Normandy's heritage. Savor each sip amidst the rustic charm of the cidrerie, where the art of cider-making has been perfected over generations. It's not just a tasting; it's an immersion into the soul of Normandy.

  • 5Very fun tour.

I ride motorcycles and am not much of a passenger but the sidecar was so much fun. We both thoroughly enjoyed our ride.

  • 5Wonderful Tour-Highly recommend!

My family (my wife and daughter) and I took the half day tour in June of 2026. Manuel and Theiry met us at the Hotel de la Gare, which is right next to the Bayeux train station. They were, in fact, the only tour that would pick us up there. We were furnished with helmets and gloves, and both men went over safety information before we headed out. I am over six feet tall, so I had to ride in one of the side cars, which was surprisingly comfortable. Both of our guides were extremely knowledgeable about the D-Day landings. I am a history teacher, so I can tell you that they both know their material. They were eager to answer any and all questions we had, and we never felt as if we were being rushed. Both men have a deep respect for all who participated in the D-Day landings. They clearly want you to understand what happened. Both men also have a great sense of humor. We started at the British artificial harbor and memorial. Manuel was kind enough to share the process by which the British built an artificial harbor where the Allies landed their supplies. Traveling by motorcycle does has its advantages, as they can get closer to places than a bus. They took us a German mortar position which gave us an excellent view of Omaha Beach. No one was there due to its remote location. It gave us to a greater appreciation for the sacrifices that were made during D-Day. They took us down to Omaha Beach next, and they not only gave us the history and pointed out all of the German positions, but also gave us time to wonder the Beach. We did run into rain, and we were provided with storm gear. Both men asked us in advance if we had relatives that died during D-Day. If you do, they will alert the American Cemetery so that the Cemetery can prep the grave and escort you right to it. The Tour ended in Bayeux, which is worth checking out if you have the time.

  • 5Once in a lifetime ride !

Speed through Normandy experiencing the sights and smells of the rural north of France. Quaint churches, chateaus, bucolic farms, poppies, wheat and happy cows move by while Theirry drives you on his side car motor bike. He is delightful and knowledgeable and the stops at Omaha Beach and the US military cemetery are beautiful and moving. Highly recommend for anyone with an adventurous spirit.

  • 5An excellent experience and one we won't forget!

The 2-hour private sidecar tour around the Normandy WWII sites from Bayeux was a real highlight of our trip. Manuel and Thierry were brilliant guides—friendly, funny, and passionate about the history of the area. Manuel was especially knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights about the events of D-Day and the Normandy campaign, bringing the history to life in a way that was both engaging and memorable. The sidecar itself was great fun and offered a unique way to explore the countryside and important historical locations. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, and thoroughly enjoyed every minute. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Normandy and wanting a more personal and unforgettable experience.

The best time - was the highlight to end our trip. Made my 10yr olds dream come true of riding in a side car - they were able to accommodate an earlier time so we could make our trip back to the airport and even created stops we had not been to in our other tour. Highly recommend - the views, the guide, the joy of seeing Normandy in this way is a must.

About Bayeux

Bayeux is a small Norman town of medieval lanes and a Gothic cathedral, home to a famous embroidery of the Norman conquest and close to the D-Day beaches.

A strip of embroidered linen almost seventy metres long, made in the eleventh century, tells the story of the Norman conquest of England in 1066 and hangs in its own museum in town. The cathedral, whose crossing spire towers over the rooftops, was consecrated in 1077 with William the Conqueror present. Bayeux escaped bombing in 1944, so its old centre of half-timbered and stone houses along the River Aure is largely intact.

Top-ranked sights in Bayeux: Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc, Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial.
