Starting at 07:00 AM from near Hillview Hotel, the trek begins with a 1550-meter walk through tea plantations. By 10:00 AM, you'll reach the top of the mountain. About Munnar
Munnar is a hill station in Kerala's Western Ghats, where tea bushes cover the slopes and the Nilgiri tahr grazes on grassland above the clouds.
Munnar lies at around 1,500 metres in the Western Ghats of Kerala, at the meeting of three rivers, which is where its name comes from. The hills around town are covered in rolling tea estates planted by British growers in the nineteenth century, and cardamom and pepper grow on the slopes of the Cardamom Hills nearby. A small museum tells the story of the tea industry.
