5A well rounded tour of the history and regular life in Rwanda
I had the pleasure of getting the owner and managing director of Usalama tours, Darius as the guide. He provided great insight on the history of Rwanda and the city of Kigali. He was very flexible in shuffling around locations due to higher amounts of traffic on a Friday afternoon. He also took really good pictures which as a solo traveler made me quite happy with the tour. We did skip the last stop due to traffic and as I was tired. My only pet peeve is that the visit to the top of Mt. Kigali didn’t seem as intended, we stopped at the side of a random road while the reservation indicated admission included. Outside of that it was an excellent tour and I highly recommend.
5Exceptional tour.
I had an excellent experience. My guide was very knowledgeable. Highly recommended. The genocide museum is certainly a must see attraction in Kigali.
5Amazing tour - highly recommend

5The Kigali experience!
Just right!!! Learned a lot about the history of the city… Benoit drove us around old and new Kigali… to the Genocide Memorial, and to the city market! It was very informative and just the right amount of time!
5Fantastic in-depth Kigali City Tour
Let me start by stating I asked for an in-depth Kigali tour and Ben our Tour guide delivered with a 5-Star tour. Ben’s knowledge of every nook and cranny of the city so so impressive. We went to New & Old Kigali, Genocide Memorial, Embassy Row, local markets and other place that locals go. Mt Kigali was absolutely breathtaking!!! I recommend Usalama tours & if you get Ben you will be glad you did.
Kigali is Rwanda's capital, a tidy city on green hills in the middle of the country, with memorials, craft markets and routes to gorilla country.
Kigali spreads across several hills in the heart of Rwanda, at about 1,500 metres, so the air is mild all year. The Kigali Genocide Memorial tells the story of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi and honours those buried there. The Kandt House Museum holds natural history displays in the house of the German colonial resident Richard Kandt, and the Inema Arts Centre shows contemporary Rwandan art.
Top-ranked sights in Kigali: Kigali Genocide Memorial, Volcanoes National Park.
