At Village Cooking Class Kandy, we offer a unique opportunity to learn traditional Sri Lankan cooking in a village setting. Back at the village, you’ll be guided through the preparation and cooking of authentic dishes, giving you hands-on experience in crafting a perfect Sri Lankan meal. You are welcome to join as an individual, a couple, or a group. It offers a wonderful opportunity. Our traditional cooking class is based in Kandy, and we accommodate groups of all sizes, from individuals to groups of up to 15 people. By the end, you'll have the chance to prepare a complete traditional meal. Finally, you'll enjoy tasting the delicious food. In addition, this experience includes a brief visit to a nearby village, providing you with a unique insight into local life.

About Kandy
Kandy is the hill-country city of Sri Lanka, home to the Temple of the Tooth, a tree-fringed lake and a botanical garden among tea-covered hills.
Kandy was the last capital of the Sinhalese kings until the British took it in 1815. It stands around an artificial lake, about 500 metres above sea level, in the Central Highlands. The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, a UNESCO site, holds a relic said to be a tooth of the Buddha, and pilgrims bring lotus flowers each day. Drummers and dancers perform at the shrine's rituals.
