We then have free time to enjoy the elegant Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, before heading back to the Hobart waterfront and your ship. Hobart sits where the Derwent River widens into a deep harbour, with Mount Wellington rising behind it to more than 1,200 metres, often dusted with snow in winter.
