Take a half-day journey to Khao Sok National Park with this small-group tour from Khao Lak. You’ll take a bamboo raft, rowed by the local crew, along the Sok River, passing by limestone mountains and through lush swathes of rainforests.   1. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel in Khao Lak, drive to Khao Sok National Park. Make a stopover at Khao Sok View Point for capturing panoramic view of rainforest, toweing mountains and morning mist. 08:30 Arrive to Sok River, board a bamboo raft, paddled by local paddler. Enjoy river surroundings and beautiful landscapes. Sok River is one of the best spot to view pictuesque limestone mountains, birdlife and some reptiles. Half way through a journey by bamboo raft, we will make a stopover at a riverbank for boiling water over an open fire for jungle coffee served in bamboo cup. Go ahead bamboo rafting further down the river. Get picked up by our driver, head to Khao Sok View Point for capturing panoramic view of Khao Sok lush forest. Back to Khao Lak about noon

About Khao Lak

Khao Lak is a long strip of sandy Andaman coast north of Phuket, with rainforest hills behind, waterfalls and boats to the Similan Islands.

Khao Lak runs for some twenty kilometres along the Andaman Sea in Phang Nga province, about eighty kilometres north of Phuket. Wide beaches such as Khuk Khak, Nang Thong and Bang Niang are backed by rubber and palm plantations and hills covered in rainforest. Khao Lak–Lam Ru National Park protects the forest and waterfalls behind the coast. The 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami struck this shore, and memorials stand along it.
