1. The Roque Nublo, a mystical place used in ancient times for spiritual meetings of the Canary Islanders, the Canari. Our hike begins on the east side of Roque Nublo with stunning views of the neighbouring island of Tenerife and Teide, 3718 m the highest mountain in Spain. We begin our day hiking by walking directly through a small forest of Canarian pines, as we look down on Tejeda and Artenara, the cave village. We continue walking along an ancient "Royal Road", along a variety of herbs and medicinal plants. When you reach the plateau 1750 m below the Roque Nublo, you will finally see this unique monolith, with its 68 meters up close. You can feel the absolute uniqueness of this place.
