You can also be picked up at your hotel in Jaisalmer. Begin your 8-hour sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer city. Your first stop is the Jaisalmer Fort - famously known as Golden Fort of Rajasthan. It was constructed by Raja Jaisal, Rajput ruler in 1156 AD. It ranks among the largest forts in the world. The golden and yellow mixed sandstone offer magical look into the fort which sits high about the sand. It features 99 turrets and displays Rajasthani architecture, which is a spectacular sight especially at night. Later Visit Patwon Ki Haveli , The Thar Heritage Museum , Gadisar Lake  After the tour, you will be dropped off at Jaisalmer airport, Jaisalmer Junction Railway Station, bus station, or your hotel in Jaisalmer at around 4pm or 5pm depending on your selected departure time.

About Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer is a golden sandstone fort town in the Thar Desert of Rajasthan, with a living hilltop citadel, carved havelis and camel treks to the dunes.

Jaisalmer rises from the sands of the Thar Desert near India's western border, and the honey-coloured stone of its buildings has earned it the name Golden City. Its fort, founded in 1156 by the Bhati ruler Jaisal, stands on a hill above the town, with houses, shops, temples and guesthouses still inside the walls. It is one of the few forts in India where people still live, and it belongs to the Hill Forts of Rajasthan World Heritage listing.
