Walk around Bebelplatz which is considered to be one of the historically most important places in the city.On May 10, 1933, the action of burning books took place in the square, which began two months after Adolf Hitler came to power. More than 20,000 books considered by the authorities to be "non-German" were burned then. This event is commemorated by the Empty Library memorial.
Finally, stroll around the Alexanderplatz, named after the Tsar of Russia, Alexander I. Today, over 300,000 people pass through the square every day! Admire the Fernsehturm TV Tower, which is over 368 meters high.
