It is a place than looks like time stopped in 1850 and a fascinating weekend destination for Athenians. You’ll be free to explore the old walkways worry free as cars are not allowed inside, check traditional shops, have lunch or hop on a small boat that will take you to the little castle (Bourtzi) in the middle of the sea and around seaside Nafplion.
