1. Marinaen er bygget på et område på 18 hektar, ved sjøen, foran bukten. Det er et av de viktigste turistprosjektene i Marokko. Promotorene Aziz Akhannouch, Ali Ouakrim og Ali Zaid har investert 18 millioner dirham. Et kanarisk selskap Marinas Canarias bygget en stor del i samarbeid med selskapet Marina Agadir. Dette representerte et av de første økonomiske samarbeidsprosjektene mellom Agadir Souss-Massa Draâ-regionen og regjeringen på Kanariøyene. Marinaen ble offisielt innviet i september 2007 og består av boliger, hoteller og nesten 130 butikker, men også restauranter og kafeer og en marina for ca. 300 båter. Marinaen er det ideelle stedet å slappe av på dagtid eller kveldstid.

2. slottet, kjent og kalt "Agadir Oufella", bygget på 1500-tallet, men smuldret under jordskjelvet på 1960-tallet. Denne Kasbah ligger på en høy bakketopp der du kan nyte en fantastisk utsikt over Agadir-byen og dens omgivelser.

3. Moskeen i Talborjt-distriktet, den største i byen, ligger i skjæringspunktet mellom 29. februar Street og General Kettani Avenue. Den bærer navnet til bestefaren til den nåværende kong Mohamed VI. De utskårne tredørene, mosaikkens arbeid og dens majestetiske størrelse gjør den til en av de vakreste moskeene i regionen. Som i andre moskeer i kongeriket, er tilgang begrenset til muslimer.

• 5Half day tour with the world’s best guide!

  I honestly had the most fantastic time! Houcine was our driver from the airport and he was so friendly, informative and excited to share his country and culture with us that I did not hesitate to book another tour with him. The communication was excellent, the price was reasonable, he arrived slightly early and packed in so much to our half day. I went on my own with him as the friends I was staying with were busy and I felt very safe and well looked after. We had great chats, he shared stories and pointed out loads of things that I wouldn’t have otherwise thought to ask about. He was flexible with timings for the day and so patient waiting while I shopped for souvenirs and tried out the different argan oils! There was also no pressure at all to purchase anything in the places we stopped and he also was really impartial when giving advice about other things to do in the area which I appreciated. I can highly recommend the cable car up to the Kasbah and the wonderful views at the top! I got chatting to two lovely ladies in the cable car who were also wonderful guides and we were firm friends by the time we came back down! Everyone is so so friendly and welcoming in Morocco. Houcine was there waiting for me when I got back down from the Kasbah and delivered me safely and quickly back to my accommodation. A wonderful day and I can’t thank him enough for making my holiday even more memorable.

• 5A personally-curated taxi/tour

  Hussein was a great guide and gave us lots of info about the area whilst taking us between sites. We had the tour to ourselves and Hussein checked before we started what things we would like to see (and so we avoided the usual shops and argan oil factory which we did not want to see). Hussein dropped us off at the sights we wanted and left us to wander on our own. We never felt pressured to stick to a time or to hurry. If you are looking for a knowledgeable private driver for a personally-curated tour/taxi then this is the perfect tour.

• 2No the best tour for this beautiful city

  Agadir is a beautiful city, but unfortunately this tour did not allow us to truly experience it. The tour focused almost entirely on visiting markets and stores, and it was obvious that the guide had agreements with the places we were taken to. With today’s live translation tools, it was easy to understand what was being said in different languages. At the Souk, the guide was telling vendors to charge higher prices because we were tourists. Later, when we visited the Kasbah for the city views, the experience felt more like a tourist trap when he encouraged some people in the group to ride camels and take photos. It is well known that camel handlers often demand excessive prices and avoid setting a clear price in advance. Morocco is a country with beautiful people but experience like this one left you with a bad impression of them. Overall, this was an unpleasant and disappointing experience. One of the main reasons people book a tour is for safety, transparency, and peace of mind, and this tour did not provide that.

  Mohammed was a fantastic tour guide! We had a group of eight including a two year-old baby and 88 year-old grandpa. Muhammad was incredibly kind and accommodating with the entire group. He was also very educational and we learned so much on his tour. His friendliness and positive energy makes you feel completely comfortable and at ease. They picked us up at our cruise port and were very timely and punctual. And we returned to our ship with plenty of time before our cruise departure. Highly recommended!
