Ting å gjøre i Barbados
Barbados is the easternmost island of the Caribbean, a coral limestone island of calm west-coast beaches, rough Atlantic surf and rum heritage.

Bridgetown, the capital, is listed by UNESCO together with its Garrison, a historic military quarter beside the Savannah, and the neo-Gothic Parliament buildings stand beside the harbour. The island is flat to gently rolling, built of coral limestone, and the west coast has calm, clear water and beaches, while the east coast faces the Atlantic with long, wild surf.
Harrison's Cave is a limestone cavern with streams and crystal formations, and in the parish of Saint Joseph the Flower Forest and the Andromeda Botanic Gardens at Bathsheba show off tropical plants. Bathsheba's shore, scattered with sea-worn boulders, draws surfers to the Soup Bowl. Plantation houses and old windmills mark the sugar past, and rum has been made here since the seventeenth century.
Cou-cou, a cornmeal and okra dish, is served with steamed flying fish as the national plate, and Friday evenings at Oistins bring grills and music by the sea. The Crop Over festival, which ends in early August, marks the end of the sugar harvest with costumes and calypso. The driest, sunniest months run from December to May.
