This trip to the stunning Zhangye Danxia National Geological Park also known as the Rainbow Mountains. Considered one of the most beautiful places in China, the national park is famous for its colorful Danxia landform and fascinating multicolored mountain folds. About Zhangye
Zhangye, a Hexi Corridor oasis city in Gansu, lies near the striped hills of a Danxia geopark, a giant reclining Buddha and the Qilian Mountains.
Zhangye is an oasis city in the middle of the Hexi Corridor, in Gansu province, a long strip of farmland between the Qilian Mountains and the deserts to the north. It was a Silk Road garrison and market town for more than two thousand years, and its old centre has a drum tower and the Great Buddha Temple, which holds a reclining Buddha more than thirty metres long.
