하이라이트
Odesa is a city-hero. The defence of the city lasted 73 days in 1941. Military equipment, weapons, and soldiers were not enough for this city, but Odessa did not give up. This city managed to defeat the German-Romanian army! During this tour, we will walk along with the historical complex, which includes an exhibition in the open air, representing military equipment from the times of the Great Patriotic War. We will talk about weapons, military strategy and technique of that time, know about military legends, talk about history, see and much more. During this tour, we will do our best to show you historical and bold Odesa, the same Odesa, that fell into despair but could win. You will meet the guide at the Monument of Ivan Franko. Then will choose taxi or public bus. It takes 25 minutes by taxi one way + about 350 UAH (€8). It takes 60-70 minutes by public transport one way + 15 UAH ( euro). About Odessa
Odesa, also spelled Odessa, is a Black Sea port city of grand steps, an opera house, sandy beaches and a famously dry sense of humour.
Odesa stands on the northern shore of the Black Sea in southern Ukraine and was founded in 1794 under Catherine the Great on the site of an Ottoman fortress. Its wide streets, laid out in a grid, are lined with nineteenth-century buildings in neoclassical and Art Nouveau styles, and Primorsky Boulevard runs along the clifftop above the port. The Potemkin Stairs, a monumental stairway of 192 steps, leads down to the harbour and appears in Eisenstein's 1925 film.
