5Antigua Bodega Stagnari
A very enjoyable visit to Antigua Bodega. Hosts and trip organisers were excellent. Well worth doing while in Montevideo
5Amazing experience!!
Miguel was an incredible guide, Alejandra (winemaker) gave a fun & informative tour, and the lunch was so delicious!!! Oh, and the wine was quite tasty too! 😊Such a fabulous experience…highly recommend it!
5Wonderful wine tour
Ryan and Miguel were very helpful, when our cruise ship changed their plans We have a wonderful wine tasting and get a great explanation of the history of Montevideo and Uruguay
5Una visita inolvidable.
This is a must do tour whether you are a novice or a wine connoisseur . Our guide Alejandra took us on a trip to another universe into the underground of a wine cellar, filled with large wooden vats, directing us along the sometimes dark spaces, explaining the details of the process from former to present time with clarity and passion. There was no question that she could not answer which demonstrated not only her knowledge about the topic, but her love for it. The tour ended in a beautifully decorated restaurant with the tasting of a variety of wines paired with a light lunch. This is not just a tour to a winery, it is a tour into history.
5Visiting a winery in Montevideo
A really interesting and informative day guided by Miguel. Our trip was a great way for us to learn about wine production in Montevideo. We visited Santa Rosa Bodega a family run winery. The staff and explanation of the process were very good. We had a tasting at the end with cold meats and cheeses all very good. Also Ryan who was our original point of contact was good with all communication before visit.
5Tannat wine in Uruguay
We loved this winery…such quality Tannat wines! Miguel was an excellent driver and very knowledgeable guide. Tasting was accompanied by a wonderful selection of bites. Highly recommend, especially if you want to experience some unique wines.

About Montevideo
Montevideo is Uruguay's relaxed capital on the Río de la Plata, with an old-town peninsula, a long seafront promenade and a love of grilled meat.
Montevideo spreads along the north shore of the Río de la Plata, where the river is as wide as a sea. The Ciudad Vieja, the old town on a small peninsula, is where the city began in the 1720s, a district of Art Deco and colonial buildings. Plaza Independencia opens onto it, with the Palacio Salvo tower and the statue and mausoleum of José Artigas, the national hero, and the Teatro Solís, opened in 1856, stands nearby.
Top-ranked sights in Montevideo: Rambla of Montevideo (Rambla de Montevideo), Montevideo Independence Plaza (Plaza Independencia), Montevideo Port Market (Mercado del Puerto).
