Our guide introduces the techniques of snow construction, snow and ice art, and explains what happens to the structure when summer arrives. After the introduction, one of the hotel’s most special features is demonstrated in practice: the snow sauna. You will see how a sauna made of snow functions and experience the effect of water thrown onto the hot stove. Finally, our guide will lead you inside the hotel, where you are free to explore at your own pace, visit the rooms, and admire dozens of snow and ice sculptures.

After taking a 30-minute transfer, you will arrive to Arctic SnowHotel, an unforgettable venue featuring stunning snow and ice structures, spectacular ice sculptures, unique hotel rooms, and arctic specialties, such as the Snow Sauna. During the introduction, our guide will explain about the construction, operation and special features of the SnowHotel. At the end of the introduction, you will have some free time where you have the option to order a shot from the Ice Bar (additional fee), served in a glass made from ice.

About Rovaniemi

Rovaniemi, on the edge of the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland, is a river city known for Santa Claus Village, northern lights, reindeer and deep snow.

Rovaniemi is the capital of Finnish Lapland, set where the Kemijoki and Ounasjoki rivers join, just south of the Arctic Circle. The town was rebuilt after being burnt in the Second World War, and its street plan, drawn by the architect Alvar Aalto, is said to echo a reindeer's antlers. Arktikum, a museum and science centre, tells the story of life in the Arctic, and a lit footbridge known as the Lumberjack's Candle crosses the river.
