5Cooking lesson in Trieste
An excellent way to meet an Italian woman in her home;. We learned how to make Tiramasu and Italian Pasta
5Loved it!
Had an amazing time with my wife, the whole experience was fantastic. The setting (home) was impeccable. A few quick notes. The host dis not speak English, which was a bit worrying at first. But he used an ipad and translated. This worked flawlessly, and actually added to the experience. He did use enough English to understand the process and the visual clues helped. We all took turns doing steps of the process, and I learned a lot and appreciated the culture much better because of it. We had laughs, wine, prosecco, etc. Sat down to enjoy our meal with conversation from other guests. My wife and I had the best time. We are looking to cook these ourselves and incorporate the relaxed atmosphere and process together. Can’t say enough good things about the host and experience!
3Too little hands on cooking experience
Whilst the experience showed an authentic Italian kitchen at work, there wasn’t enough hands-on cooking experience for our group of 4, with most of the time spent watching either our host complete the tasks or one of our group taking turns to help in the small kitchen. We had hoped to each have the opportunity to do all tasks. As a result, the experience did not represent good value for money in our opinion. Our host was very welcoming and set a lovely dining table at which to eat our cooked dishes, but our inability to speak Italian and her limited English further compromised our experience.
5The best!!! Warm, inviting and a genuine good time!!
What a special experience! From the moment we arrived, Mirabella and Giovanni made us feel like family. They welcomed us into their beautiful home, and you could immediately feel the love and warmth that fills it. Their kitchen was inviting, the class was fun and hands-on, and we learned so much while making delicious pasta and tiramisu. What made this experience truly memorable was how genuinely kind and caring they were. We enjoyed every minute of our time together and left with wonderful memories, new skills, and full hearts. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting Trieste!
5Best ever experience
One of a kind experience. My husband and I were the only people in the glass. I was on cloud 9 for getting to make pasta in Italy. We even found a kitchen store so I could bring home a new ravioli cutter! I’m still in heaven and will be talking about it for some time.
5Learn how to make Pasta and tiramisu
This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience being in a local kitchen and spending time with someone who is passionate about what they ate teaching you

About Trieste
Trieste is an Adriatic port on Italy's border with Slovenia, a city of Habsburg-era palaces, old coffeehouses and a great square that opens onto the sea.
Trieste was the Roman town of Tergeste and became the main seaport of the Habsburg empire after it was declared a free port in 1719. Its grand centre dates from that period: Piazza Unità d'Italia, a vast square of palaces with one side open to the water, the Canal Grande, a short canal lined with cafés and a church, and the grid of the Borgo Teresiano. Above the old town, the cathedral of San Giusto and a castle crown a hill, with a Roman theatre below.
Top-ranked sights in Trieste: Piazza Unità d'Italia (Piazza Grande), Miramare Castle (Castello di Miramare).
