Wandee worked as a Thai Chef in different countries such as New Zealand and Iceland and more . More than 10 years as Chef and cooking teacher and 7 years as Food Tour Leader . Cooking in a lovely open air kitchen and beautiful garden environment of Khao Lak Center. Unique cooking techniques in the tradition Thai ways that only an experienced Thai chef can teach you. Authentic way of making each dish such as curry from scratch and fresh ingredients such as fresh coconut milk, herbs, veggies, meat and seafood. Own cooking station for all students including a gas stove, own cutting board with all knives, spoons and spatulas, a mortar, an apron, and hand towels. Gluten free,Vegan and Vegetarian dishes are one of my specialties, and let's not forget that I am used to cook with children as well.

5A treat!!
We had the best day!! Sarah, our host and chef, was excellent. She picked us up at our hotel and took us to the local market where she explained how the different varieties of ingredients were used in traditional Thai meals. We chose the meals we would most like to cook from a great selection on offer, and once Sarah had bought the ingredients, we headed to the cookery school. The team were so well-organised, helpful and patient! and we learned so much. The food was absolutely delicious (even if we say so ourselves!!) and we had so much fun with Sarah and the team. Thanks to you all for a wonderful experience-we really enjoyed it, and would highly recommend it to others. Keep up the brilliant work. Maeve and Paul, Belfast.

5Great market tour & cooking class with experienced chefs!
Memorable market tour, explaining local ingredients cooking 4 different dishes and enjoyingy the food we cooked together in a family setting with the other members. Chef Wandee and Chef Sarah were really loveland good teachers. Also everyone was really friendly with our 2 year old that we brought along who was running around and playing :)

5Best cooking class ever
Fantastic cooking experience with Wandee and her team, we got to visit local fresh markets then prep the food and cook it and eat it. Made curry pastes and sauces from scratch. Best cooking class I’ve ever done. Excellent value.

5Authentic Thai
A great half day experience that provided us with an insight into the wide variety of locally grown and sourced produce available at the local market. Following this we were taught how to make some delicious authentic traditional Thai dishes. We can't thank Wandee enough for providing us with this thoroughly enjoyable experience and look forward to surprising family and friends with our new culinary skills

About Khao Lak

Khao Lak is a long strip of sandy Andaman coast north of Phuket, with rainforest hills behind, waterfalls and boats to the Similan Islands.

Khao Lak runs for some twenty kilometres along the Andaman Sea in Phang Nga province, about eighty kilometres north of Phuket. Wide beaches such as Khuk Khak, Nang Thong and Bang Niang are backed by rubber and palm plantations and hills covered in rainforest. Khao Lak–Lam Ru National Park protects the forest and waterfalls behind the coast. The 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami struck this shore, and memorials stand along it.
