About Kos

Kos lies close to the Turkish coast, with Kos Town on its north shore, where a castle of the Knights of St John guards the harbour and palms line the waterfront. Hippocrates, the father of medicine, is said to have been born on the island, and a huge old plane tree in town is named after him.
