Take a self-guided GPS audio walk along the most beautiful path in Orlando around Lake Eola. This tour along the paved path around this iconic lake will not only teach you about interesting Orlando history, but you'll also learn about the structures, statues, and art instalments located here. Lake Eola Park is open from 6 AM - Midnight 7 days a week. If you'd like to stop for a meal or a cold beer, the restaurant on the lake is open from 11:30 AM - 9:30 PM, and stays open until 10:30 PM Thursday - Saturday. If you'd like to see the fountain do a light show, they usually happen at 8 PM and 9:30 PM each night. The Linton E. Allen Memorial Fountain was constructed in 1957 and was named The Centennial Fountain, because that year was a hundred years after Orlando received its name. The idea for the fountain came from a gentlemen named Linton E. Allen. After his death, the city renamed the fountain to be the Linton E. Allen Memorial Fountain.
