1. During the journey we will make stops to observe the Andean flora and fauna, as well as the volcanoes that surround the city. Around 3820m (12532ft) we will find the only Queñua forest in Arequipa, this tree is very important for the city's water supply, this forest is part of the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve.

About Arequipa

Arequipa, in southern Peru, is a white-stone colonial city beneath the cone of El Misti volcano, close to the deep Colca Canyon.

Arequipa lies at about 2,300 metres in the dry southern Andes, with the cone of El Misti volcano rising above it and Chachani and Pichu Pichu on either side. Its centre is built from sillar, a light volcanic stone that has earned it the name of the White City. The Plaza de Armas has arcades, palms and the cathedral, whose façade stretches the full length of one side.
