The bus passes right alongside the Colosseum, fully floodlit after dark. From the open top deck you get an unobstructed view of the arches and the upper tiers — no crowds, no queue, no walking. The audio guide tells the story of the amphitheatre as you pass.
The triumphal arch of Emperor Constantine stands right beside the Colosseum, brightly lit at night and clearly visible from the open top deck as the bus passes.
The bus runs the length of Via dei Fori Imperiali, with the Imperial Forums and Trajan's Column on one side and the archaeological area of the Roman Forum on the other, all lit up after dark.
The vast open space of the ancient chariot racing track, with the Palatine Hill and its ruins rising behind it, seen from the open top deck.
Michelangelo's square and the staircase leading up to it, lit up at night, seen from the bus as it passes the foot of the Capitoline Hill.
