• 5Capt Mali, excellent tour of BVIs via the NorTech

  Our group had a GREAT time with Captain Mali during our full day boat excursion to Tortola baths, Norman Island and Willy Ts pirate ship! We had 7 guests on the 34' NorTech, which was a very nice boat. We pumped the music and he gave us a great tour and helped us get back to our cruise ship on time. I highly recommend booking with this crew and company! 5 STARS for CAPT MALI! We will come back and visit soon <3

• 5Memories for a Lifetime:)!

  Amazing adventure through the BVIs! Captain Craig was an amazing host! He made our excursion a day we will never forget! We will be back next year...thank you One Caribbean Charters!

• 5Wonderful Boat/Snorkel trip of the BVI!!!

  We had a spectacular day with Captain Jarven and Janie!! They were so nice at taking us to some amazing snorkel spots as well as some enjoyable beach time! It was one of the best trips we have been able to enjoy so far! Thank you for taking such good care of us!

• 2Some Highlights but Not Great Overall - Especially for Kids

  We stopped in Tortola on a Disney cruise with a very large group and booked two boats through One Caribbean Charters based on the Trip Advisor Reviews. I'll start with the positives: -The booking process was very easy. April was responsive and flexible. -It's a beautiful area and having a private charter gives the flexibility to go wherever you want. -The boats themselves were nice. -We stopped at Willie T's for lunch which I'd highly recommend. You can only get there by boat making it a very unique experience, the food is good and everyone said it was one of the highlights of the entire trip. Unfortunately, there were some major setbacks with the tour overall: -The boats were a full hour late. We try to be easygoing travelers but we had six kids in our group and it is nearly impossible to keep kids calm while standing for an hour in the blazing sun. Apparently they had problems getting through customs (I think they usually leave out of St. Thomas) so everyone was on edge (including the captains) when we started. -They told us the boats didn't have bathrooms. There was definitely a bathroom on our boat (not sure about the second) but they said we weren't allowed to use it so I guess they don't want you using the bathrooms on the boats. This is not the end of the world - we made stops and were in and out of the ocean but something to keep in mind when booking a full day tour. -There was not enough snorkeling equipment on the boats for everyone and there were no kid-size masks or fins. They had emergency life jackets but the only flotation devices available for snorkeling were pool noodles. Not having life jackets for the kids to snorkel with wasn't ideal but not having kids equipment or enough masks for the adults is unacceptable. They knew how many people we had, including the number of children and I said in my very first email that we were primarily interested in snorkeling. My daughter is eight and wound up coming out of the ocean sobbing because we'd told her we were taking her snorkeling and her giant mask kept filling up with water. Three adults didn't get to snorkel because they didn't have equipment. -I asked if there was anything they could do to compensate us for the late start and lack of snorkeling equipment. They waived a $25 per person customs fee but said that that was all they could do since they'd already giving us a group discount (the tour was discounted 10% but a third of our party wasn't able to snorkel). -They charged ~$400/boat for gas. They were clear upfront that fuel was not included so this is just an FYI of what to expect in terms of cost if you decide to book.

About Cruz Bay

Cruz Bay is the small ferry town and main settlement of St John in the US Virgin Islands, the gateway to a national park of beaches, reefs and hills.

Cruz Bay sits on the west coast of St John, the smallest of the three main US Virgin Islands, with pastel buildings, shops and bars around a small harbour. Ferries link it to Red Hook on St Thomas, and the town is the gateway to Virgin Islands National Park, which covers more than half of the island. The Danish West Indies, as the islands were once called, were sold to the United States in 1917, and Danish-built walls and sugar-mill ruins survive.
