This colossal structure was constructed in 1924 and is located at the tip of Apollo Bunder, and overlooks the Mumbai harbour, bordered by the Arabian Sea.The Gateway of India was constructed to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to Bombay (Mumbai) facing the majestic Hotel Taj Mahal.
