About Phuket
Phuket is Thailand's largest island, a tropical mix of sandy bays, limestone seascapes, temple-dotted hills and a colourful old town.
The west coast is lined with beaches, from busy Patong with its nightlife on Bangla Road to the gentler sands of Kata, Karon, Kamala and Surin, and the quieter bays of Nai Harn and Mai Khao. Promthep Cape at the southern tip is a favourite spot for sunset.
Top-ranked sights in Phuket: Maya Bay (Maya Beach), Phi Phi Islands (Koh Phi Phi), James Bond Island (Ko Khao Phing Kan) .
