Built around 113–125 AD during Emperor Hadrian’s reign, the Pantheon has remained remarkably well-preserved due to its continuous use throughout history. Religious Significance: Originally dedicated to all the gods of ancient Rome, the Pantheon was converted into a Christian church in the 7th century, which helped ensure its survival through the centuries. It is still an active church today, known as the Basilica of St. Mary and the Martyrs.
