During this wine-tasting there will be a focus of the "Tri-Veneto" region. This wine tasting covers four wines, all paired with a small appetizer or abats faim (called cichetti, and similar to Spanish tapas). About Padua
Padua is a university city in the Veneto, home to Giotto's frescoed Scrovegni Chapel, a pilgrimage basilica to Saint Anthony and a huge oval square.
The Scrovegni Chapel, frescoed by Giotto around 1305, is Padua's best-known treasure, and it belongs to a group of fourteenth-century fresco cycles that UNESCO has listed together. The Basilica of Saint Anthony, with its domes and the saint's tomb, draws pilgrims from across the world. The Prato della Valle, an oval square ringed by a canal and a circle of statues, is among the largest in Europe.
