The story goes that the small church on Sveta Nedelja was built by shipwrecked sailors in gratitude for their survival. Across from Petrovac’s main beach, just over a kilometer offshore, lies a ‘mountain in the sea.’ The cliffs and rock formations around Petrovac are truly spectacular, and among these masterpieces of nature you’ll find the Cave of Wishes. Budva, on Montenegro's Adriatic coast, is a walled old town on a small peninsula, with a long run of beaches on either side.

Budva's old town sits on a rocky peninsula, enclosed by stone walls with a citadel on the seaward point. Narrow lanes lead between small churches and squares, and the settlement is more than 2,500 years old, with Venetian rulers shaping its present look from the fifteenth century. A 1979 earthquake damaged much of it, and it was carefully rebuilt. Beaches such as Mogren are reached by a path along the sea.
