About Lombok
Lombok, an Indonesian island east of Bali, is a land of sandy beaches, rice fields and the high volcano Rinjani, quieter than its famous neighbour.
Lombok lies across a deep strait from Bali, and the Wallace Line, the boundary between Asian and Australasian wildlife, runs through that water.
