Join us on an adventurous photography day tour to Mostar, one of the greatest legacies of 4 centuries of Ottoman rule in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Many of the 16-19th century buildings in the Old Town have been given back their original glory. The Old Bridge across the Neretva river has also been restored, enabling the 477 year diving competition to continue, at the end of every July. On the way to Mostar, a short stop above the Blue Lake in Imotski is mandatory to appreciate the huge sinkhole on the edge of town with its 200 meter deep lake.

The very center of interest in Mostar, the old stone bridge is the origin of the settlement's name (most means bridge). Traversing the turquoise Neretva River, it is also the location from where divers plunge into the cold water for a handful of change collected from passers-by.

Počitelj fortress and village were built on the side of a hill, alongside the Neretva River. Once a mighty and important settlement, today it is a quiet place offering scenic views of the Neretva valley, and the Turkish hamam and mosque below the tower dominating the area.

About Split

Split is a busy Dalmatian port built within and around a Roman emperor's palace, with ferries to some of Croatia's loveliest islands.

Diocletian's Palace, built around the turn of the fourth century as the emperor's retirement home, is the old town itself: its walls, cellars and courtyards hold homes, shops and cafés. The Peristyle, the colonnaded heart, leads to the Cathedral of St Domnius, once the emperor's mausoleum, and its bell tower gives views over the rooftops.
