About Windsor & Eton
Windsor and Eton face each other across the Thames west of London, one with a great royal castle and the other with a famous school.
Windsor Castle stands on a chalk ridge above the Thames and has been a royal residence for nearly a thousand years, making it the largest inhabited castle in the world.
